By order of the Head of State dated April 9, 2018, on the creation of the "Day of Science" in the Republic of Azerbaijan, March 27 was adopted as the "Day of Science" in Azerbaijan.

27 march within the framework plan of events by the celebration "Science day" in our country, on February 19, 2019, will take place a day of "Open Doors", organized by the Shamakhy Astrophysical Observatory named after N.Tusi jointly with Tusi-Bohm Planetarium. On the same day, will be organized popular astronomical lectures and will be presented a documentary film about space travel in the Tusi-Bohm Planetarium (Baku, Neftchilar Avenue, Park Bulvar Shopping Center, 4th floor).
